Crime Scene Virtual Tour
(CSVT)3.00 provides a distinctive virtual reality solution
for crime scene reconstruction and crime scene investigation,
which is used to document and observe and even measure the complete information
for crime scene investigation and forensic analysis.
Based on 360 degree panoramic images, Crime Scene Virtual Tour
is a multi-media tool which integrates original crime scenes, interactive map
with radar effect, detailed images, slideshow movie, texts, audios, links, thumbnails,
etc.
Main Features:

3D Reconstruction:
Compared with conventional photograph, the field of view of the images in
crime scene virtual tour reaches 360 degree, far wider
than the former. Crime scene investigators will have an
overall idea on the place and never lose any suspicious clew. However, it
is not just an album of photographs with 360 degree field of view, but is
kind of crime scene reconstruction integrating many elements,
which brings you back to the actual place where crime happens,
and offers you the opportunity to find the reality in a virtual
environment.
- 3D Measurement:
In CSVT 3.00, you can measure the distance of any two points
in 360 degrees panorama. The measuring result can be accurate to millimetre.


- Simulation:
You can build crime scene movie with CSVT Publisher which
will run automatically when starting virtual tour. Besides, you can simulate
crime scene videos with several possibilities and link those
videos in the relevant panorama with hotspots.
- Documentation:
Integrated with map, radar effect, detailed image for evidence, text description,
simulation video, Crime Scene Virtual Tour will prove its
great significance during crime scene investigation and will
be more widely used in forensic science. Its capabilities

Other features:
- Right-click stitching
After installing CSVT, you will find stitch/batch stitch
function in right-click menu when you select several images which are to be
stitched into panorama. You need not start program before stitching. This
feature will simplify your work and save your time.
- Batch stitching
You can stitch multiple panoramas, even more than one hundred, at one time
by a right-click batch stitching. Such feature will greatly save your time
and it may be operated automatically when you are out of office.
- Print
The whole documentation can be printed easily at any time when you need.
- Full screen
Double click on scene viewer, map viewer, detailed image viewer to access
full screen mode. Another double click will bring you back to normal.
- Hotspot classification
No matter how many detailed images there are, you can classify them into different
folders like Blood folder, Footprint folder, Bullet folder, etc. It will be
very easy for you to find the relative images from detailed image list.
- Generate hotspot easily
You may generate hotspot by dragging panorama, detailed image or map from
their list panel to the current panorama/map which is displayed in scene viewer/map
viewer.
- Switch among multiple panoramas/maps/detailed images
All panoramas/detailed images/maps are displayed in their list panel and you
can switch them easily.
Applications
Crime scene virtual tour can be applied during the process
of crime scene investigation as well as case study. There are
some main applications of this solution.
- Crime scene investigation and documentation
Different from regular images, it captures 360 degree field of view, and enables
investigators to view the crime scene with an overall idea,
and gives the possibility to see every detail. It can also be used as presentation
in courtroom and forensic meetings, which is much better than any other evidence

Reconstructing a virtual reality environment, this

Photograph is the most widely used way for crime scene investigation.

Compared with flat photography, crime scene virtual tour gives
you the possibility to zoom and navigate the images, add interactive
map, texts, links, etc. You can integrate normal photographs into
it as well. It is a relatively more objective way to reflect all
information in crime scene.

You may add an interactive map to the virtual tour, which tells you the correct direction of the crime scene. |
